Kee Guard® Railing - Standing Seam
Description
Kee Guard® Standing Seam Railing is an OSHA Compliant roof edge fall protection system that prevents workers and other personnel from falling off of roofs with standing seams. Metal plates clamp onto the standing seam using S5U aluminum clamps. Railing posts are bolted to the plate, and top and mid rails are installed between the posts. The railings extend above the walking surface 42” and withstand a force of 200 lbs. Custom Colors are available.
Its configuration accommodates varying angles, circular configurations, ladders and rooftop obstructions. Kee Guard Standing Seam Railing System complies with OSHA Standards 29 CFR 1910.23 and meets North American and Canadian requirements.

Materials:
Posts, top and mid rail pipe is 1-1/2" (1.90" OD) 12 guage galvanized steel
Fittings are galvanized Kee Klamp® malleable iron-type
Base fittings are galvanized steel with galvanized mounting plates
Aluminum S5U clamps fasten plates to roof
Finish for pipe, handrails, mid-rails, uprights and base plates are a galvanized mill finish to ASTM A53 requirements
Kee Klamp® type 69 base fitting is used when toe plates are required
Installation:
Four S5U clamps are bolted to galvanized steel mounting plates
Mounting plate assemblies are attached to the standing seams
Kee Klamp® Type 62 base fitting is attached to each metal mounting plate to support the galvanized upright posts assemblies
Upright post assemblies are inserted into the Type 62 base fitting
Galvanized top and mid railings are saddled between posts
Note: 3 workers can install greater than 300 LF of railing in a day. Shop drawings can be provided if needed.
