SecuRope Lifeline Industrial Use
Safety Rail Source® and FallProtec® bring you the best, custom designed Vertical and Horizontal lifeline systems available. These products are also known as Engineered Fall Protection, Horizontal Lifeline, Vertical Lifeline or Cable Fall Restraint systems.
NextGen Fixed Ladder Lifelines:
Climbing industrial ladders shouldn't feel like a gamble. While traditional safety cages were once the norm, modern safety data shows they offer a false sense of security and fail to actually arrest a fall.
To provide premium, engineered protection for your team, Safety Rail Source® has partnered with FallProtec® to deliver the NextGen Fixed Ladder Lifeline series, designed to seamlessly retrofit onto your existing ladders.
Why Vertical Lifelines are Mandatory:
According to updated OSHA standards (specifically OSHA 1910.28), any fixed ladder extending above 24 feet requires an active ladder fall protection system. Furthermore, newly installed or replacement ladders must completely replace traditional cages with an engineered fall arrest system. By integrating FallProtec's state-of-the-art designs, Safety Rail Source ensures your facility remains 100% compliant while actively protecting your workers from critical injury. Our NextGen Systems Explained:
Instead of burying technical data in confusing grids, we break down our two primary systems by how they function in real-world scenarios. Each setup is crafted from high-grade stainless steel (AISI316) and structural aluminum to guarantee absolute corrosion resistance in both indoor and harsh outdoor environments.
1. NextGen SecuRope™ Fixed Ladder Lifeline (Vertical Cable System)
The SecuRope system is a highly versatile, tensioned vertical cable lifeline designed to keep climbers constantly anchored without sacrificing mobility. This setup features an integrated shock absorber built right into the top anchor or the glider itself, which dramatically reduces the impact forces transferred to the worker's body in a fall. Climbers stay safe using an innovative, openable cable sleeve (or glider) that effortlessly glides over intermediate stanchion posts without requiring manual disconnection. This means hands-free movement from the ground to the roof. The system is fully compliant with ANSI 14.3 and OSHA 1910.29 Subpart D, can be installed with universal hand tools, and comes in standard 20-foot, 30-foot, and 40-foot kits, with custom lengths always available.
2. NextGen SecuRail™ Fixed Ladder Lifeline (Vertical Rigid Rail System:
For facilities with minimal fall clearance or highly intensive industrial use, the SecuRail system offers a completely rigid vertical rail alternative. Instead of a flexible cable, this system utilizes a low-profile, undeformable aluminum rail that clamps securely onto your existing ladder rungs using heavy-duty fixing plates.
Because the rail is completely rigid, a fall is stopped instantly with zero permanent deformation to the system itself. Workers connect via the heavy-duty Granvia 4 Trolley, which features its own internal energy absorber and locks instantly onto the rail if a slip occurs. Complete with top and bottom tilting end-stops to secure the trolley in place, this system is an ergonomic, low-maintenance option that is fully compatible with safe roof access extensions.
