Materials:
Posts, top and mid rail pipe: 1-1/2" (1.90" OD) 12-guage galvanized steel
Fittings: galvanized Kee Klamp® malleable iron-type
Base fittings: galvanized steel with galvanized mounting plates
Clamps: aluminum S5U clamps fasten mounting plates to the roof seam
Finish on pipe, rails, uprights and base plates: galvanized mill finish to ASTM A53 requirements
 
Installation:
Four S5U clamps are bolted to galvanized steel mounting plates.
Mounting plate assemblies are attached to the standing seams.
A Kee Klamp® Type 62 base fitting is attached to each mounting plate to support the upright posts.
Upright post assemblies are inserted into the base fittings.
Galvanized top and mid railings are saddled between posts.
Note: A three-person crew can install more than 300 LF of railing per day. Shop drawings can be provided on request.

No, roof warranties would not be voided because the railing attaches using non-penetrating clamps that clamp securely onto the standing seams without piercing the metal panels.

How is load weight distributed along the standing seam roof surface?

The base design spreads top-rail force across multiple seam attachment points to maintain structural integrity under load.
