Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Kee Guard® Railing stay secure without penetrating the roof surface?

It utilizes a modular counterbalance system with heavy-duty, recycled PVC bases that weigh the railing down, eliminating the need for drilling or roof penetration.

How long does installation take?

Installation requires no special tools or training. A three-person crew can typically install more than 300 linear feet of railing in a single day.

Are infill panels or kick plates needed?

Infill Panels are recommended where openings under 4" need to be restricted (for example, to prevent tools or small objects from falling through), and Kick Plates are recommended anywhere there is no parapet to stop objects from falling off the roof edge onto people below. Both are available as add-ons to this system.
