This innovative system completely eliminates the danger of unlatching and pushing open heavy roof hatches while balancing at the top of a ladder. Designed with a smooth, hand-operated winch bolted to the base of the ladder, it allows users to safely open, close, and lock the hatch from the ground up. As you turn the crank, the lifting arm raises the hatch lid while simultaneously extending a sturdy Safety-Post above the roof surface to provide a secure handhold for egress and ingress.

Because it operates entirely on mechanical leverage, there is no need for complex electrical wiring, expensive motors, or batteries.
