NextGen Lift & Lock™ Roof Hatch Opener
Description
This innovative system completely eliminates the danger of unlatching and pushing open heavy roof hatches while balancing at the top of a ladder. Designed with a smooth, hand-operated winch bolted to the base of the ladder, it allows users to safely open, close, and lock the hatch from the ground up. As you turn the crank, the lifting arm raises the hatch lid while simultaneously extending a sturdy Safety-Post above the roof surface to provide a secure handhold for egress and ingress.
Because it operates entirely on mechanical leverage, there is no need for complex electrical wiring, expensive motors, or batteries. While OSHA does not mandate or endorse specific hardware, using this system helps facilities satisfy 29 CFR 1910.23(b)(12) by allowing personnel to operate the hatch from ground level so they keep at least one hand on the ladder at all times while climbing, serving as a vital component of a comprehensive Roof Hatch Safety strategy. Upgrade your facility's roof access safety with the NextGen Lift & Lock™ Roof Hatch Opener (also known as BSP Hatch Operator®, Patent #US 11,293,226 B2).
Standard pricing is available for most NextGen Lift & Lock™ Roof Hatch Opener installations serving fixed ladders up to 19 ft. in height with no obstructions. However, the Lift & Lock can be customized to accommodate taller ladders and unique site conditions. Because fixed ladders can vary significantly in their dimensions, mounting configurations, clearances, hatch locations, and surrounding obstructions, each Lift & Lock™ system is custom-built to match the specific roof hatch and ladder configuration at your facility. To ensure proper fit, functionality, and accurate pricing, a completed measurement form is required before we can provide a formal quote.
