Specs: Saf-T-Screen™ is a metal screen system that is attached to the metal rib/corrugated building structure over a skylight panel to protect against injuries or death from accidental falls through the lens of the skylight. Saf-T-Screen is attached to the building structural member using two support channels centered on the skylight for secure installation and superior fall protection.
Construction, Materials, Installation
Screen Material: .187 galvanized carbon steel or stainless steel wire in a welded 4” X 4” grid, flat with an overall size of 40” x 128”.
Support Channels: 128” in length are formed to fit over standard ribbed or corrugated profiles (for 10’ skylights). Channels rest on two of the skylight panel major ribs and are positioned lengthwise beyond the ends of the installed skylight and are attached through the roof to the steel or wood building purlins with supplied fasteners. The screen is attached at the same time using metal clips included in the kit.
Installation Time: 2 men in 30 minutes per unit.
