About Our Skylight Railings and Screens Fall Protection

Our commercial and industrial skylight railings and skylight screens prevent falls through skylights.  According to OSHA statistics, these accidents are a major cause of death from falls.  The Safety Rail Source provides the solutions for protecting against such falls with our E-Z to install, non-penetrating product line.  Our skylight railings and skylight screens meet OSHA standards and are designed to withstand up to a 400 pound load requirement if required.  Our skylight screens include protection for domed, standing seam and corrugated skylights.  For larger skylights, we offer KeeGuard Skylight Railing Systems.  In our screen product line, we offer galvanized or stainless steel mesh.  Installation of our skylight protection products is easy, quick and can be performed either by your contractor or your maintenance staff.  Installation with our STS and SSS models is completed with an engineered clamp-on type connection.  Our skylight railings are free-standing and non-penetrating and manufactured with heavy duty galvanized pipe and fittings.  They are shipped in a kit and assembled with a hex key. 

Materials For Skylight Railings

Pipe for handrails, mid-rails, uprights and counterweight connection are a galvanized mill finish to the requirements of ASTM A53. Kee Klamp® Fittings are galvanized to meet ASTM A153. Railing consists of top rails, mid rails, uprights, counterweights and connections. All pipe connections are Kee Klamp structural pipe fittings manufactured to the requirements of ASTM A47-77-32510. Railing assembly is capable of withstanding a load of at least 200 pounds applied in any direction at any point on the top rail. KeeGuard can be designed to withstand higher loads if required. Installation of Skylight Railings
The Safety Rail Source skylight railings are fast and E-Z to install and do not penetrate the roofing membrane. A 2 man crew can install more than 300' of KeeGuard skylight railing railing per day. Detailed installation instructions are included with all of our skylight railings and screens.
